By April 15, millions of Americans will have completed filing their income taxes. Many will be waiting until the last day to drop them off at their
local post offices. Because very few people understand the cost of the War in Iraq in terms
that they can relate to, a flyer has been put together for each of the 169 town in Connecticut that estimates the town-level cost of the war. Few people realize that the $210 Billion that has been
authorized on this war has to come from "someone" ... and ... that those "someones" are both
you and your neighbors.
On April 15th ( and/or on other days if you choose) download a flyer for your town, make copies and distribute them.
They can be distributed in front of post-offices, in front of town halls, at budget meetings and other places.
On April 15th, a multi-media presentation will be shown in front of the Hartford Post Office on Weston Street. A copy of the Draft Presentation is shown below.
