A Weekend to Protest the War!
Third Anniversary 
of the Invasion of Iraq 

A series of weekend events are planned to mark this anniversary.  There are two large marches and rallies in major Connecticut cities as well as a series of local events.

This march and rally will connect the dots to highlight the linkages between this illegal and immoral war and many of the injustices and domestic neglect that arise.

This march and rally will conclude the weekend events and will emphasize the loudest demand of them all Bring the Troops Home Now! End the Occupation of Iraq!

$250 BILLION spent on the war so far! This money could fund Jobs, Health Care, Education and Housing; Take Care of Our Vets and Fight Violence in our Cities!

The peace lane.Does our lifestyle depend on war? Then let's change it! On Wednesday and Thursday of the week leading up to the anniversary, we encourage single drivers to break with routine and either carpool or take the bus. We will be at Sheldon Field (Bridge Street just west of I-91) to organize commutes during the morning rush (7:30-9:00 a.m.).

Beyond these two days, No Go Solo is an ongoing campaign to combat the culture of single-occupancy automobiles and to encourage the alternatives. Please visit its dedicated web site, where you will find rideshare and bus information.
